What is this guy Charles DeVore thinking?  He is in a race against Barbara Boxer for a California Senate seat.  He apparently thought stealing is okay and that the Digital Millennium Copyright Act did not apply to him.  Or maybe, he didn’t even know about it.  Either way, it is pathetic to see another politician run for public office who blatantly breaks the law for their own personal gain.  In this instance it is stealing property, intellectual property of Don Henley and Mike Campbell. They are suing him and for America’s sake, I hope they win. Political campaigns have become so full of lies, deception and fraud and nothing is ever done about it.  Campaign ethics needs a major overhaul.  Devore is certainly not the first politician to believe that lying, stealing, committing fraud or cheating are means that justify the end.   I think most Americans though, are getting sick and tired of the absence of ethics in the campaign process. In this instance wouldn’t it have made more sense for Devore to simply find an artist who supports him and his cause?  But, who knows … he may have unsuccessfully tried that already.
